Teye Kutasi

Teye Kutasi is an attorney and the newest addition to the Floridian Partners' team. Teye's work is focused on local government procurement, insurance, health care and general legislative representation.

Teye's recent experience comes from within the Florida House of Representatives Schools & Learning Council, Committee on K-12 where she interned as a legislative analyst. During her tenure with the Committee on K-12, she worked closely with fellow staff to analyze proposed legislation to determine its effect on current law and impact on future policy. As an active participant in the political process, Teye has volunteered for many statewide and local political campaigns.

While in law school, Teye was a legal clerk with a law firm specializing in administrative law where she worked on cases involving utility, pari-mutuel and environmental regulation. Additionally, she clerked for law firm specializing in insurance defense where she gained experience drafting pleadings, motions and petitions filed in state court. During that time, Teye realized an interest in mediation and assisted attorneys within the firm as a co-mediator.

Teye earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising from The University of Florida and her law degree from Texas Tech School of Law. Teye is a member of the American Bar Association, Florida Bar Association and Miami-Dade Bar Association.

Born in Canada and raised in Southwest Florida, Teye divides her time between Miami and Tallahassee.
