Gary Guzzo brings 20 years of experience to the firm as a lobbyist and consultant for the insurance industry, financial institutions and regulated industries. Gary’s valuable expertise comes from working with corporations that include foreign and domestic property and casualty insurers, as well as in the arenas of banking, telecommunications and health care.

Mr. Guzzo has garnered invaluable state government experience, having worked with the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services, serving as the staff director for the Health Care Committee in the Florida House of Representatives, and holding numerous positions in financial regulation and cabinet affairs. Mr. Guzzo later became the youngest Deputy Insurance Commissioner in Florida.

Prior to joining Floridian Partners, LLC, Mr. Guzzo worked as a sole practitioner, as well as a government affairs consultant with a large national law firm.

In his new capacity with the firm, Gary will continue to represent numerous companies and trade associations as they navigate their way through both the executive and legislative branches of government, while also providing strategic planning and consulting services for business opportunities in the Florida and national marketplaces.

Mr. Guzzo is a graduate of Florida State University with a B.S. in Government Affairs/Political Science and has spent the last 35 years as a Tallahassee resident working with and in front of Florida state government while raising a family.
