Floridian Partners Adds to Team of Insurance Experts with Recent Hire
Tallahassee, FL – Government affairs and business consulting firm Floridian Partners, LLC is excited to announce the hire of insurance expert George Feijoo. Feijoo holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and is an alumni of Florida State University where he graduated with a degree in Actuarial Science before going on to receive his M.B.A.
Feijoo comes to Floridian after working for the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation for over five years within both the Property & Casualty Product Review and Life & Health Financial Oversight units. Most recently, Feijoo oversaw the approval of property and casualty contracts within several lines of business. At the firm, Feijoo will focus on utilizing his in-depth knowledge of Florida insurance products and regulations to assist Floridians’ financial services clients within various personal and commercial lines of business including life, health, auto, property, and professional liability. Apart from his insurance expertise, Feijoo brings extensive experience in legislative analysis and legal research, and is fluent in Spanish.
Floridian Partners’ team of insurance and financial services professionals has provided consulting and lobbying services to insurers for nearly three decades. The team, led by Gary Guzzo, includes Rich Koon, Brian May, and Cecilia Norat. With the hire of Feijoo, the firm now has five former insurance regulators. Floridian Partners and sister company Prime Strategies specialize in all lines of insurance, including but not limited to: property insurance, private passenger and commercial auto, commercial insurance, workers’ compensation, medical malpractice, life and health insurance, annuities, agent and agencies, and reinsurance. Floridian Partners and Prime Strategies operate in seven cities across five states. Feijoo will be based in the Tallahassee office.
The expansion of Floridian Partners was announced in February with the launch of sister company Prime Strategies, offering a national and international platform to provide business consulting, public relations, crisis management, global affairs and government relations. Floridian and Prime maintain offices in Washington D.C., Texas, California, and three offices in Florida.
